The Role
Pantheon’s Professional Services team directly supports our largest and most strategic customers, helping them to successfully onboard onto the Pantheon Platform and derive immediate and ongoing value from working with us.
We are looking for India-based Drupal and WordPress developers to join our newly formed Professional Services Engineering team. This team is composed of software engineers who use their deep knowledge of open-source software development to support our Onboarding Services team in migrating customer websites onto the Pantheon Platform.
As a Drupal Developer your primary responsibility is to enable our customers to derive value from our platform as quickly and painlessly as possible.
Cool Things You'll Do
Collaborating with colleagues on the Professional Services team, you will be responsible for contributing to the successful migration of customer websites to the Pantheon Platform by:
- Using internal tooling to perform individual and bulk site migrations
- Providing custom software development, as required, to solve functionality and performance problems with customer websites
- Performing Visual Regressions and other testing to validate successful migrations
- Documenting and report platform or application issues that block the successful completion of an engagement
- Communicating project status to all stakeholders
- Providing platform feedback to the product team to constantly push the needle forward and ensure that we have a finger on the pulse of our clients' needs.
What You Bring To The Table
- BA or BS or equivalent experience
- 3- 5 yrs of CMS engineering experience working with Drupal, WordPress, or both
- Working knowledge of common Drupal/WordPress development technologies and tools like php, html, css, javascript, git, drush, wp-cli, c/i tools and more.
- Familiarity with the LAMP stack, caching, performance tuning and load testing.
- Experience working on multiple projects at a time
- Experience with continuous delivery, devops and agile workflows
- Clear communication skills, empathy, and creative thinking skills
Bonus Points For
- Experience with Pantheon’s Platform or other Drupal/WordPress development/hosting platforms
